Frequently Asked Question

Some languages are not detected
Last Updated 7 years ago

In most cases, an auto detect yields the best results since it enables automatic language detection. For languages based on the Latin alphabet, choose a language is not needed. In rare cases, when the language of the text in the image is known, setting a language will help get better results (although it will be a significant hindrance if the language is wrong). Text detection returns an error if one or more of the specified languages is not one of the supported languages.

Here is a list of currently supported languages:
Afrikaans, Arabic, Assamese, Azerbaijani, Belarusian, Bengali, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kazakh, Korean, Kyrgyz, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Marathi, Mongolian, Nepali, Norwegian, Pashtu, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Sanskrit, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Uzbek and Vietnamese

If you are having difficulties detecting a specific language, please contact us using this form and provide us with the language name you are trying to detect and all the necessary information.
